Haul Mapper uses Sign in with Apple — there's no separate username or password. Tap “Sign in with Apple” on the welcome screen. Your logbook, trips, and settings are tied to your account so they follow you across your devices.
Background (“Always”) location is used only while Drive Mode is running, so your mileage keeps recording accurately when your screen is off — that's what makes the per-state IFTA mileage and hours-of-service clock correct on a real drive. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Haul Mapper → Location. Drive Mode works best set to “Always.”
Tap the “Talk to Dispatcher” button and speak after it says “Listening.” If nothing happens, make sure the microphone is allowed in iOS Settings → Haul Mapper → Microphone. You can also type your request in the trip box.
The Crew feature lets a private group of drivers you invite (via a shared crew code) see each other's live location and road reports. It is off by default and opt-in — your location is never shared publicly or with anyone outside your crew, and you can turn sharing off at any time.
In the app, go to Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all of your stored data (trips, fuel, notes, documents, and settings). If you'd rather we do it for you, email the address above from your account's email.
Yes — download a route's map tiles before you head into a no-signal stretch, and the map keeps working along your route. Look for the offline-map option after planning a route.
See our Privacy Policy for exactly what's collected, how it's used, and who processes it. Short version: your data is used to run the app's features, it's never sold, and there's no advertising or third-party tracking.
